PDP Is Reconsidering Participation In 2019 General Elections – Secondus

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said it is reconsidering participating in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.
The Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus, stated this on Thursday when he received a Joint International Election Observation Mission fielded by two main American international civil agencies, the National Democratic Institute, (NDI) and the International Republican Institute (IRI), at the party headquarters in Abuja
Mr. Secondus disclosed that “We are yet to take the decision whether we will participate or not, we are no longer confident in INEC or in our own security.
He claimed that the party contested against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Security agencies, not the All Progressives Congress, (APC).
“In Ekiti state governorship election last Saturday we did not contest with APC we contested with INEC and Security agencies,” Secondus said.
The PDP chairman described what happened in Ekiti State as not just electoral fraud but robbery in connivance with INEC and security agencies.
He said that the party is consulting with its relevant organs in the review of Ekiti election to reconsider their position on 2019 general elections.
According to Secondus, a situation where bodies that should be neutral in a contest are brazenly helping to manipulate the process in favour of one party is antithetical to democracy and is a dangerous signal.
He said that there were clear indications for all to see that the ruling APC is scheming to engineer more crisis in the land to enable them to manipulate the electoral process in their favour in connivance with security agencies.
“For us as an opposition party, we have lost confidence in INEC and security agencies”
The National Organizing Security NOS of the party Col Austin Akobundu who also briefed the visiting international agencies on Ekiti said the election involved various electoral frauds through intimidation and ballot snatching.
Akobundu said that INEC fraud was so transparent that it produced conflicting figures of the result and had to pull it down from their website.
While, the leader of the delegation Dr Pauline .H.Bakaer, President Emeritus, Fund for Peace United States said that they were on the visit to share ideas with the opposition party on their challenges ahead of the 2019 general elections

Woman gives birth in restaurant restroom; baby offered free food for life and a guaranteed job when she's 16

A woman took an unplanned bathroom break at Chick-Fil-A and ended up delivering her baby there in the restaurant's restroom. Falon Griffin began having contractions on Tuesday. She and her husband Robert Griffin made a stop on their way to San Antonio, Texas’ University Hospital to meet up with a family friend at a local Chick-Fil-A store so they could drop off their two older daughters with them before going to deliver their baby. As they stopped, Falon realized she needed to use the bathroom. It was after 10 p.m. at the time and Chick-Fil-A was closed but the couple banged on the windows to try and get the staff’s attention because Falon didn’t feel like she could wait until they got to the hospital. Rapper Offset arrested for Gun and Drug Possession in Georgia (see mugshot)

Offset  of the hip-hop trio  Migos  and the husband of hip-hop star  Cardi B , was arrested on Friday afternoon July 20th on gun and drug charges after he and his bodyguard were pulled over outside of Atlanta.  The rapper, whose real name is  Kiari Kendrell Cephus , and his bodyguard,  Senay Gezahgn , were pulled over in  Jonesboro, Georgia , for the illegal lane change when Clayton County police searched his 2014 Porsche 911 Carrera and found three guns and less than one ounce of marijuana and over $107,000 in cash, according to Atlanta ABC affiliate WSB. The 26-year-old who is already on probation for a 2015 arrest on drugs and weapons charges, was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a weapon during a crime. He also faces misdemeanor charges for marijuana possession and making an improper lane change.  His bodyguard,  Gezahgn , 27, was also charged with possession of less than one ounce...

19-year-old man stabs 18-year-old girlfriend to death in Edo

The police in Edo state have arrested a 19-year-old man identified as Junior Baba, for stabbing his 18-year-old girlfriend, Matilda Odiri, to death at his home on Akugbe Street in Benin metropolis in the Ovia South-West Local Government Area of Edo State on July 7th. According to reports, Matilda had arrived Baba's house on the day of the incident with the intention of sleeping over. She then accused him of being unfaithful to her as she suspected he was keeping another girl. There arguement degenerated into a fight and in the process, Baba picked up his kitchen knife and stabbed Matilda. She died on the spot. Realising what he'd done, Baba carried her body and dumped it by the roadside. He then fled to the Auduwawa area of Benin city where he was apprehended. Confirming his arrest, the state commissioner of Police, Johnson Kokumo, said Baba has since confessed to committing the crime. He added that the suspect would be charged to court soon....
